After raising a family (four children) and operating her own bridal and design business for many years, Rose Marie decided to focus on one of her first loves, painting.. Since then she has studied at Bowling Green and Jacksonville Universities, Bucks County C.C., and Lorain County C.C, and has attended workshops around the world.

Her acrylics, enamels, watercolors and hand built pottery, have garnered numerous awards and ribbons.

“Rising Star” was the recipient of the OWS “Doug Pasek Memorial Award” in ’04.

In 2005, she placed third in the Best of Pennsylvania promotion in both acrylic and pottery.

In 2007. “Castles and Moonbeams” placed first in mixed media at Artsbridge,

“Interaction” received the “Artists Magazine” award at the 2010 OWS show.

In 2012, she received the award for abstract painting at Philips’ Mill annual exhibition.

Again in 2012, she placed second overall in the AOY sponsored juried show at the Trenton City Museum.

Ms. Strippoli also received special recognition from the Ohio Watercolor Society for having 10 paintings accepted into their juried shows.

In the Pennsylvania W.C. 2013 show, she received an award for “Creative Expression” by well-known artist and judge Frank Webb.

Rose Marie was selected as one the “Person of the Year” by the Advisory & Oversight Committee of the 21st Century Learning Center” for her contributions to Bristol Borough and the Art Community on 2013

Rose Marie has had individual shows at Bowling Green University in Huron, Oh, Riverside Theater and First Federal Bank in Bristol, PA, Key Bank in Vermilion ,OH, the library at Avon Lake, OH. She has also exhibited at the Zanesville Arts Center, the Cleveland clinic in Ohio, the Bucks County Visitors Center in Pennsylvania, and the Lower Bucks Campus of Bucks County Community College. She has been part of the OWS travel exhibitions from 2004 through 2013.

Ms. Strippoli is a signature member of Ohio W.C. Society and Pennsylvania W.C. Society. She is a past President of the Artists of Yardley and the Artists of Bristol. She also is a past board member of Artsbridge.
